What factors could have caused such discrepancies in the values obtained thru resistor color coding?

and through measurementsWhat factors could have caused such discrepancies in the values obtained thru resistor color coding?
perhaps you should tell us what ';such discrepancies'; are?

resistors are quite accurate, and the accuracy is one of the color codes, usually 5%. If your readings are more than 5% off (or whatever the tolerance of the unit is), and you didn't heat the resistor up, then I'd suspect you made a mistake in your readings.
